Jessica Sandberg, BS, LADC
Counseling Intern
Jessica Sandberg (she/her) is a student intern in the Rehabilitation Studies program at St. Cloud State University. Before beginning her master’s degree, Jessica completed a B.S. in Addiction Counseling. Much of her previous work was focused on supporting people in overcoming substance use disorders. Her interests now include providing mental health counseling to those with dual diagnoses.
Jessica identifies as a BIPOC ally and is 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming. She is comfortable working with clients navigating the criminal justice system. She has a strong interest in supporting those with personality disorders. Her goal is to help future clients gain insight into emotions and behaviors, often resulting from past trauma, to create space for healing.
When she is not working full-time, doing homework, or spending time at Seal Dwyer Counseling, Jessica enjoys adventuring with her daughter and being a self-described “crazy cat lady.”
Jessica will soon be accepting counseling clients. She may be seen around the office, working on a project, or enhancing her learning by observing therapy sessions.
Seal Dwyer, MS LMFT, and an SCSU professor supervise Jessica.
