Jay DiMartino (he/they) is a graduate from the Saint Cloud State University’s Social Work Master’s program.  “Social worker first, therapist second. This means I will use my education and lived experiences to help address every aspect of your life you want to improve. I draw from trauma-informed care and feminist principles to help my folx achieve their goals.”

Jay’s goal is to be active in community events for mental health and to become a licensed counselor in the local community. They are passionate about advocacy and allyship in their professional and personal lives. He is a fierce ally for 2SLGBTQIA+, BIPOC ally and disabled communities.

“In my time working with folx in different communities, I have learned YOU are the best narrator of YOUR story. I am the listener, letting you bring me where you need me. Trauma often makes us feel like pieces of that story are missing. As the listener, I want to help piece that story back together with you. I am trans, neurodivergent, a partner, and a friend. Each of these identities affects how I interact with the world and I like to address how our identities play a role in every part of life.”

Jay is blunt, compassionate and goofy. His focus is to help clients heal from trauma to live their best and most authentic lives. Jay is trained in EMDR and plans to get ASSECT certified to add to his practice. He is one of the counselors for the ASD group and the trans group. In his free time, he can be seen with family and friends, playing games, or building a Lego set.

Sara DeVos, PhD, LICSW, supervises Jay.
