Michael Libby, MS (he/him) graduated from St. Cloud State University’s Rehabilitation and Addiction Counseling master’s program. He views things from a social justice model and believes everyone should be treated equally with access to mental health, physical health, and a safe environment. If laws are created to govern folks, individuals should be at the center of the conversation with equal representation.

Michael is a BIPOC ally and is 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming. He is particularly interested in working with 2SLGBTQIA+ clients, helping them overcome the barriers of having previously had contact with the criminal justice system. He typically connects well with clients with personality disorders and substance abuse. He works with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Michael says he can genuinely find empathy and compassion for just about anyone.

Michael tends to swear and is very blunt at times. He is EMDR trained and will be working on certification shortly. He is pursuing training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). His overall focus is to help individuals understand what is happening within their emotions and how trauma and things have shaped them into who they are today. Michael loves plants and has a rapidly expanding jungle in his office!

Michael sees clients during a wide variety of hours to accommodate clients with varying work schedules.

Seal Dwyer, MS LMFT, supervises Michael.
